lighth0a.gif 23rd Crisp Point Lighthouse Summer Conference -- July 17, 2021 -- Dedicated to Elaine Watson

The 23rd Annual Crisp Point Lighthouse Conference is scheduled for July 17, 2021 (usually the third Saturday of July), and is dedicated to the memory of Elaine Watson. Elaine served on the CPLHS Board of Directors from 2011 to 2020 and passed away on April 27, 2021. Elaine always had a smile on her face, and she and her husband Larry were well known for their dedicated promotion of Crisp Point. No matter where Elaine went, you could always bet she had a Crisp Point brochure with her ready to hand out. She will be deeply missed by all.

We will meet at 9:00 a.m. on July 17th at the Whitefish Township Community Center, located at 7052 N. M-123, Paradise, MI 49768. We will be giving everyone an update on the current happenings and future happenings at Crisp Point starting at 10:00 a.m. The guest speaker this year will be Dianna Stampfler, a professional writer, broadcaster, and public speaker since high school. Her talk will be titled “Michigan's Ghostly Beacons”. In 2019 Dianna published her book "Michigan's Haunted Lighthouses" through History Press.

Admission will be $10 for adults and $5 for children age 12 and under to help cover the costs of the conference. Please register by June 15, 2021 so that we will be able to make sure we have enough food for everyone. Click here to print out a form you can mail, or you may also email Teri Beasley ( with your name, address, phone number, and the number of people in your group. For those emailing, you will be able to pay your admission fee at the door. Pre-paying however, is preferred. The lighthouse and Visitor's Center might be CLOSED on this day until AFTER the Conference so that the keepers can attend the event.
