The 28th Crisp Point Lighthouse Conference is scheduled for July 18, 2026 (usually the third Saturday of July). We will meet at 9:00 a.m. for check-in and a light breakfast at the Whitefish Township Community Center, located at 7052 N. M-123, Paradise, MI 49768. We are planning a very special summer conference for this year. We will be giving everyone an update on the current happenings and future happenings at Crisp Point starting at around 10:00 a.m. Next we will have a presentation by Bruce Lynn and Ken Czapski about Life-Saving Stations that were on Lake Superior, with a big focus on Vermilion, which is the last station still existing of this architecture type. Bruce Lynn is the Executive Director at Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum at Whitefish Point. Architect Ken Czapski is a 2025 Michigan Historic Preservation Network (MHPN) Lifetime Achievement Award Honoree and a founding member of SOS Vermilion. Lunch will be around 11:30 am and it will be catered again by a local business.
Admission for non-CPLHS members will be $25 per person age 10 and up and $20 for CPLHS Members. Children age 5-9 will be $5 and children under 5 are free. Please register and prepay by July 9, 2026 so that we will be able to make sure we have enough food for everyone.
