CPLHS Interior Restoration Update
Crisp Point Light Historical Society (CPLHS) has contracted with National Restoration to complete an interior restoration project at the lighthouse in 2025. Work scope includes: latex paint removal, repair/replace plaster where needed, mineral prime coating to plaster surfaces, limewash paint on interior plaster surfaces, remove and replace sealant at all windows, repair damaged wood at window with new wood, strip or sand the interior of the windows as needed to receive two coats of paint, paint railings, and paint floor.
Work is tentatively planned to start on August 20th. The lighthouse is expected to be closed from Monday through Thursday during the restoration, and open on the weekends and Labor Day, until the project is finished. The project is expected to take about a month. We will attempt to give updates as new information becomes available. The Visitor Center and restrooms will be open normal hours, from at least 10 am to 6 pm daily. |
